Retiree Resources
Getting Started
PEBP offers medical, dental, basic life insurance and a variety of voluntary products to eligible retirees.
To get started as a new retiree, you will want to review your plan options, learn how each medical plan works
and determine whether purchasing a voluntary product is right for you. You can do all of those things by starting here.
Select any of the following links to learn about your options so you can make an informed decision.
Thank you for your contribution as a public servant and congratulations on your retirement!
Important Tips:
-
To continue your coverage into retirement, you must
re-enroll in retiree coverage. Note: If you decline
retiree coverage, you may lose your right to re-enroll in retiree
coverage in the future.
-
Retirement is a life event that allows you to
make changes to your coverage such as adding new dependents to your plan.
To add a dependent, you must provide documentation to support their eligibility for
coverage (e.g., copies of birth certificates, marriage certificate,
etc.).
-
Your plan election remains in force for the
entire plan year (July 1 - June 30) unless you experience a
qualifying event. Certain qualifying events allow you to add or remove dependents.
If you move outside of the plan's coverage area, or you
age into Medicare, you may be able to eligible to change your
coverage.
-
For more information, read the Retiree
Benefits Guide. (Note: the Plan Year 2012 Retiree Benefits Guide will be
available June, 2011).
