Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) If you are an active employee and participate in a Public Employees’ Benefits Program (PEBP) sponsored medical plan, you are provided with basic life and AD&D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment) insurance. The basic plan is $20,000 of life insurance and $20,000 of AD&D coverage. Dependent life insurance is also provided in the amount of $2,000 for your spouse and $2,000 for eligible children. For more information about life insurance and AD&D, please visit the Standard Insurance Company’s website. Retired participants are also eligible for Basic Life insurance and AD&D insurance. If you participate in a PEBP sponsored medical plan, you are provided with Basic Life and AD&D insurance. The Basic plan is $10,000 of life insurance and $10,000 of AD&D coverage. Dependent life insurance is provided in the amount of $1,000 for your spouse and $1,000 for eligible children.
