Medicare Exchange for Retirees with Medicare Parts A and B


Plan Year 2014 PEBP and Medicare Guide

Towers Watson One Exchange (formerly Extend Health) is an Individual Medicare Market Exchange for retirees, spouses/domestic partners, surviving spouses/domestic partners and dependents of active employees who have Medicare Parts A and B. One Exchange offers a variety medical, prescription drug, and dental plans based on an individual's provider preferences, prescription drug needs, geographic location (state and county) and medical conditions. These plans may include Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement (or Medigap) and Medicare Part D Prescription Drug coverage.

Plan Advice and Enrollment Assistance

One Exchange gives you access to licensed benefit advisors and online tools combined with comprehensive knowledge of the Medicare market. Licensed benefit advisors are available to assist you before, during and after enrollment. You can contact a benefit advisers at (888) 598-7545, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. pacific time.

Program Eligibility

One Exchange provides personalized assistance to help you make informed and confident enrollment decisions and choose the health plan or plans that best fit your medical needs and budget. You are eligible for coverage through One Exchange if you have Medicare Parts A and B and are a member of one of the groups below:

* Retiree who is 65 years or older

* Spouse/domestic partner who is 65 years or older

* Surviving spouse/domestic partner who is 65 years or older

*  Retiree, spouse/domestic partner and surviving spouse/domestic partner who are not yet 65, but are deemed disabled by the Social Security Administration and have Medicare Parts A and B

*  Spouse/domestic of an active employee who is 65 years or older

One Exchange Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)

Retirees enrolled in a medical plan through One Exchange receive a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (One Exchange HRA). The One Exchange HRA allows for tax-free reimbursement of qualifying medical expenses to the extent that funds are available in the HRA account. HRA qualified health care expenses include copayments, deductibles and coinsurance and medical, dental, prescription drug, and vision premiums. The HRA is funded through a monthly contribution based on a retiree’s Years of Service.  The One Exchange HRA is not available to dependents or survivors of retirees. Compare Plans

One Exchange offers a variety of tools to help you compare insurance plans and premiums. They also offer a Prescription Profiler™ that uses your current and projected medication expenses to determine which plans will have the lowest estimated annual out-of-pocket cost.
